Choir from South Africa made stern Simon Cowell cry: Sung a song by a deceased contestant

Member of the jury of the show America’s Got Talent Simon Cowell (63) broke down in tears in the last episode of that show, when the choir performed Mzansi with the song ‘It’s OK’.

The choir from the Republic of South Africa received the first gold button for their performance, and Simon was especially moved because it was a song by a former competitor. Nightbird, who passed away last year. When the song started, Simon turned to the actress Sofia Vergarand (50) and said that he recognized which song it was.

– This brought back memories. I know how much it would mean to her. Until the very end, she was engaged in her music. You gave her an incredible tribute with your performance – said Simon.

The performance of the Mzansi choir did not leave the jury or the audience indifferent.

– For those who don’t know, last year we lost a special person from our Supertalent family. Her name was Jane, her nickname was Nightbirde and she sang exactly this song – said Klum after the performance.

Singer-songwriter ‘Nightbird’, real name Jane Marczewskipassed away last year after a short battle with cancer at the age of 31.

Let’s remember, in this year’s season of the American version of Supertalent, a model is sitting on the jury next to Simon and Sofia Heidi Clum (50) and comedian Howie Mandel (67).
