Emergency lane conversion to prevent traffic jams: From August there will be “more lanes” in the direction of Rheinfelden

The conversion of the breakdown lane on the A3 towards Rheinfelden is on course. The track expansion will probably be finished in late summer. It provides relief in the daily traffic jams – but the knot in the middle of the flourishing economic area has not yet been solved.

The economy on the border between the Basel area and the Fricktal is booming. Not only is the Basel pharmaceutical industry investing heavily in its Aargau locations, but other branches of industry such as chemicals are also flourishing along the Rhine. This also increases the number of car commuters from Basel towards Aargau and Germany.
