Cruise: Is there a bang at Aida? This German peculiarity is to blame

World news

In the first few months of a new year, many people are already in the middle of planning their vacation. A trip by car, by plane to the other end of the world within a short time, or perhaps a cruise? If you want to discover several places in one trip, you will definitely choose a vacation on one of the ocean liners. But there is currently a very specific question that is hotly debated – could this talk soon come to an end?

Sail from port to port, explore large metropolises on land or hidden villages and of course one thing – lots of relaxation. If you decide against water sports on deck or other exciting activities and just want to relax, you can of course do that on board Aida and Co. But an annoying problem is currently clouding the passengers’ minds. The bizarre thing about it? The guests and their partly German characteristics are themselves to blame, as our partner portal “MOIN.DE” now reports.

Cruise: vacationers in court

Life punishes anyone who comes late. True to this motto, some holidaymakers throw their towel over the lounger early in the morning in order to reserve it for after breakfast. The problem? This is exactly why there are sometimes no more loungers, even though there isn’t a soul to be seen anywhere. This is a huge problem for travelers who just want to jump into the pool and sunbathe on their relaxing vacation.

A similar phenomenon recently occurred in hotel complexes. Angry holidaymakers then marched to court to file a lawsuit – “and the same fate could hit shipping companies like Aida or “Mein Schiff” hard in the future,” says “MOIN.DE”.

In the case of the hotel complex, the holidaymakers managed to get their lawsuit through at the Hanover district court and were awarded an amount of 322.77 euros. The judge decided that a trip is definitely defective if there are too few free pool loungers or if the employees do not intervene when reserving towels. The same could also be said for cruise lovers on Aida, Mein Schiff and Co. in the future.

You can read here at “MOIN.DE” whether and how the talking companies want to react to this hotly debated topic in the future.
