At the same time, it is the first telecommunications company in Serbia that enables the signing of contracts without paper and other documentation. Yettel users must put their signature for certain transactions a maximum of three times, instead of the previous sixteen, and they leave Yettel’s store without contractual documentation in paper form.

“Our plans for 2024 are focused on preparing the network for 5G, on fixed and TV services, and further digitization, which will also be the focus of most of our investments. With one hundred thousand users, we are the third player in the media content distribution market, and this is a segment that we will intensively develop,” said Mike Michel, CEO of Yettel in an interview with the Beta media agency.

More than two thousand employees at Yettel ensure that almost three million users have a quality user experience every day. At the same time, the company is working to make their network 5G ready.

“Expectations from the application of 5G in industry are really high, and Serbia will not be an exception. 5G and operators will be the support and basis of future business. However, it is not a simple process and major preparations are needed, first of all in the field of modernization of the existing ecosystem, before this idea comes to life in its full scope”, adds Michel.

In order to make everyday life easier for users, Yettel has been continuously improving its existing application, which has 1.3 million monthly active users, for some time now with new services. At the beginning of 2024, several digital novelties will be available in the application, such as service tutorials, real-time bill payment notifications or location checks for the introduction of the Hypernet.

The company has a strong focus on environmental, social responsibility and corporate governance (ESG) issues. Their goal is to, among other things, collect and recycle 50% more electronic waste in Serbia by 2028 and at the same time reduce the use of paper and plastic by at least 20% by 2028.
