Easter: Supermarkets are closed for three days – Store opening hours
Supermarkets will be closed for three days for Easter. Specifically, apart from Easter Sunday and Monday (May 5 and 6), they will not be open either Tuesday, May 7, due to the transfer of the May Day holiday.

Festive Hours Easter 2024 – Shops
As suggested by Athens Chamber of Commerce opening hours of the shops they worked from Maundy Monday until today, Maundy Thursday from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm. Tomorrow, Good Friday they will operate from 13.00 to 19.00 and on Holy Saturday from 9.00 to 15.00.
The proposed holiday hours by the Athens Chamber of Commerce:
- Holy Monday: 9.00 – 21.00
- Holy Tuesday: 9.00 – 21.00
- Holy Wednesday: 9.00 – 21.00
- Maundy Thursday: 9.00 – 21.00
- Good Friday: 13.00 – 19.00
- Great Saturday: 9.00 – 15.00
- Easter Sunday: Closed (holiday)
- Easter Monday: Closed (holiday)
- Tuesday May 7: Closed (May Day holiday transfer)
