According to the decision of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Erdoğan; As of May 15, there will be no price difference between additive diesel and gasoline and a single price will be applied.
IT CANNOT BE DONE EVEN IF CONSUMERS REQUEST IT
In the decision published in the Official Gazette, it was stated that “In sales made at fuel stations, price difference cannot be applied for the same type of fuel, whether differentiated or not.” In addition, the phrase “Fuel oil to which a price difference is applied can only be replenished in line with the consumer’s request” has also been abolished.
Here is the EMRA decision approved with the signature of the President and published in the Official Gazette;
BOARD DECISION REGARDING AMENDMENTS IN THE BOARD DECISION NUMBERED 8730 ON DIFFERENTIATED FUEL OILS
ARTICLE 1- Subparagraph (a) of the first paragraph of Article 3 of the Board Decision No. 8730 on Differentiated Fuels published in the Official Gazette No. 30841 dated 24/7/2019 has been repealed.
ARTICLE 2- The second, fifth and sixth paragraphs of Article 6 of the same Decision have been repealed and the following paragraph has been added to the same article.
“(8) In sales made at fuel stations, price difference cannot be applied for the same type of fuel, whether differentiated or not.”
ARTICLE 3- The second paragraph of Article 7 of the same Decision has been repealed.
ARTICLE 4- “Will it be used as an MPA?” from the Differentiated Fuel Information Form in Annex-I of the same Decision. (3): Yes/No” and “(3) which are notified to the Authority as “Other” and to which a price difference is applied. “Information about whether it will be sold as fuel.” The phrase has been abolished.
ARTICLE 5- In the Differentiated Product Information Text in Annex-2 of the same Decision, “Fuel oil to which a price difference is applied can only be supplied in line with the consumer’s request.” The phrase has been abolished.
ARTICLE 6- This Decision enters into force on 15/5/2024.
ARTICLE 7- The provisions of this Decision shall be enforced by the President of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority.
