EU: There will be new sanctions against Belarus

World news

Member States’ ambassadors to the EU adopted a package of sectoral and individual sanctions against Belarus on Tuesday, an EU source reported.

This information was confirmed by the Permanent Representative of Poland to the EU Andrzej Sadoś.

“For the first time in a year, the deadlock on Belarusian sanctions has been broken. There is no derogation for fertilizers in the decision, which means that they are still subject to EU sanctions. We have introduced sectoral sanctions for, among others, military products, weapons, ammunition, dual-use items, aerospace technologies and products. The sanctions also covered everyone involved in the conviction of Andrzej Poczobut”

– said Ambassador Andrzej Sados.
