FORMER adult film star Lana Rhoades revealed during a guest appearance on the Curious Mike podcast that she was not happy with her income from filming. She claims that she earned much less than Instagram influencers.
“I was the number one porn star, and I was getting paid $1,200 for one sex scene. I met a guy who worked for YouTube and Instagram. He told me he made $155,000 for an Instagram post where he collaborated with Jeep. My earnings weren’t was good,” said Lana.
She also revealed that girls who make films for adults are under a lot of pressure from agents. “I was surrounded by older men who know exactly how to make you do what they want just to make money. They do things that hurt girls. When the camera was behind me and you couldn’t see my face, I cried because I I felt like I was raped,” admitted Lana, who left the porn industry in 2017.
Since ending her career in adult films, Rhoades has focused on making clothes and underwear. However, her opinion on the porn industry remains quite firm.
“I really don’t think pornography is good for anybody and I think they should make it illegal,” she previously said.
“Honestly, I’m pretty asexual. It’s like I never hang out with people, I don’t find people attractive and I’ve always been like that, it’s not like there’s any change after shooting porn,” she said.
