Until now, if you sent money from one bank to another, it took a whole day. This is gradually changing. For more than two years, VÚB, Tatra banka, Slovenská sporiteľňa and Raiffeisen have been offering the so-called instant payments. More than a year ago, J&T Bank also joined.

Extremely fast payments

Payments “fly” between these banks, so to speak, and the money is in the counterparty’s account within a few seconds of sending. As you can see, other institutions are being added gradually.

Fio banka launched the latest instant payments. As in other cases, clients of this institution also have the service free of charge.

Up to 4 thousand euros

“From today, clients of Fio Bank can send and receive payments from other banks in an instant mode. Fio banka is thus involved in a system that will speed up payment transactions in euros for clients and, above all, enable them to make payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.” writes Fio banka.

A one-time payment can be up to 4,000 euros and can be entered as an immediate payment to all banks that support the acceptance of such payments.

“We sensed a relatively strong interest in instant payments, and we are happy that we can finally present this news to Fio Bank’s clients. We are convinced that instant payments will provide significant benefits to our clients and simplify their financial transactions. Instant payments are free and we’re happy to contribute to improving the client experience.” said Jan Bláha, Fio bank’s commercial director.
