In Sultanbeyli, 36-year-old Hivda T. was strangled to death by Mehmet T., with whom she was in the process of divorcing. The suspect, who was taken into custody and learned to be a schizophrenic patient, was referred to the courthouse.
HE KILLED HIS WIFE AND RUN AWAY
The incident took place on April 30, around 06:00 in the morning, in Sultanbeyli Hasanpaşa neighborhood. Allegedly, a fight broke out between 36-year-old Hivda T., who was leaving home to go to work, and her estranged husband, Mehmet T., who was waiting at the door for her. Mehmet T. strangled his wife to death. He then fled the scene.
CHILDREN COULD NOT OPEN THE DOOR BECAUSE OF THEIR FEAR
Police teams started an operation to catch the suspicious person. It was learned that the children who were at home at the time of the incident heard their father and mother shouting and fighting, and they did not open the door because they were afraid, but they called their uncle and informed him. It was learned that their parents had been living separately for 2-3 months and that their father had been suffering from schizophrenia for about 10 years but did not use his medication.
HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Fugitive suspect Mehmet T. was caught and detained by police teams. After being processed at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse by the Homicide Bureau teams.
