From today, all citizens of Zagreb can use and drive for free ridge cable car upon presentation of an identity card.

There are several ways to get a free ride. Men and women from Zagreb who have a ZET show or subscription ticket must fill in a free coupon that is valid for the cable car. Users of the Moj ZET application should register for a free coupon, and those who do not have the application or show can pick up a free ride ticket at the cable car ticket office.

More favorable price list for others

According to the new price list, the price of a one-way ticket will be more favorable for all others who do not have a place of residence in Zagreb. Adults will pay six euros for it, while a return ticket will cost ten euros.

Children under the age of 15 and people with disabilities now pay two euros for a one-way ticket, and three for a return ticket.

“I don’t think the price was too high. Of course, the people of Zagreb pay taxes in Zagreb so they expected it. I think the mayor’s decision is exactly what they expected,” ZET Board President Marko Bogdanović told RTL earlier, adding that the decision on the free cable car for the people of Zagreb will be permanent.

The financial “hole” will be compensated from the City’s subsidy, as will the rest of public transport. “Revenues will fall, but conditionally speaking,” explained Bogdanović, reminding that by the decision of the City Assembly, the cable car belongs to the communal activity.

New working hours of the cable car

Bicycle tickets are also cheaper. The ticket price for bicycle transportation will be 2.50 euros for all users, regardless of their place of residence.

The price of a daily bicycle ticket for Zagreb residents will be more favorable and will amount to 9 euros, while others will have to pay 24 euros for this type of ticket. Zagreb residents will pay 110 euros for the annual bicycle ticket, and 290 euros for other users.

“Given that warmer weather is approaching, the new working hours of the cable car will also apply from Saturday. On weekdays, the cable car will transport passengers from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Last departure from the Donje station will be at 6:30 p.m.,” said ZET.
