IJmuiden mayor Frank Dales has closed a house on the Bloemstraat after a large amount of hard drugs was found in March. The drugs were intended for trade, the municipality said.
According to the mayor, drug trafficking seriously affects public order and the living and living environment.
Dales wants to detect and tackle crime and asks for help from the residents: “We desperately need the eyes and ears of all residents of Velsen. That’s why I also call on you to report to the police if you have signals that there is something wrong in your home. drugs are being traded in the area or that there is a cannabis farm or drug lab,” said Dales.
The house is closed for three months. It is not known why the house was only sealed three months after the drug discovery.
