IJmuiden mayor Frank Dales has closed a house on the Bloemstraat after a large amount of hard drugs was found in March. The drugs were intended for trade, the municipality said.

Dales wants to detect and tackle crime and asks for help from the residents: “We desperately need the eyes and ears of all residents of Velsen. The house is closed for three months. It is not known why the house was only sealed three months after the drug discovery.
