The mother was identified as Dominga Maíz Ugarte, who had to cross this dangerous path after being dragged along with the boat she was on.
It should be noted that the woman and the boat were dragged by the current, however, she was saved by residents who were in the surrounding area.

The efforts of the neighbors allowed the mother and her boat to move against the current and reach their destination. The woman was treated by health specialists who were able to ensure the condition of her baby.
