Electric vehicles and hybrids will increasingly replace traditional fuel-powered vehicles in Russia, but primarily in the premium segment, said Alexey Ledkov, director of the Voyah distribution department, on June 3 reports Avtostat.
“In the next two years, electric vehicles and hybrids will increasingly replace cars with internal combustion engines. Infrastructure is developing, and outside of major cities, which makes traveling by electricity more efficient in terms of economy and minimizes the negative impact on the environment.”the expert said.
According to his estimates, in the next few years, sales of electric and hybrid cars will exceed the mark of 20-30 thousand new cars per year. This will be facilitated by the introduction of models of Chinese manufacturers to the market.
Recall that earlier in Russia sales of hybrid Chinese cars began, including Chery Tiggo 8 PRO e +, Skywell HT-i, Voyah Free and Dream. At the same time, the share of electrified vehicles in the Russian market remains insignificant and does not exceed 1%.
