The head of the department and the investigator of the Shymkent city police department of the district police department were suspected of taking bribes, reports Zakon.kz.
Based on the information released by the department, they are suspected of taking a bribe of 500 thousand tenge from a city resident to appoint a preventive measure not related to arrest.
“The suspects confessed to their crime and sincerely repented. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. In accordance with Article 201 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, other information is not subject to disclosure,” the report said.
According to Article 77, Clause 3, Clause 1 of the Constitution and Article 19, Part 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code, every person is considered innocent until proven guilty by a legally binding court verdict.
