The back of the car, rear bumper and taillights were burnt. The car was not equipped with gas equipment, a fire extinguisher was not used. The fire was extinguished before the firemen arrived. The car was registered in Russia.
The press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the West Bank reported that the fire was started by an unknown person, and a pre-trial investigation has been started in relation to it under Article 202, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Deliberate destruction or damage to the property of another”. The sanction of this article provides for the imposition of a fine of up to 2000 MCI or imprisonment for up to two years or deprivation of liberty for the same period.
According to local residents, the police found a plastic bottle filled with gasoline and a cane near the car.
Judge Iliyas Irgebayev himself said that he could not answer the question of who might have set his car on fire.
