The press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the West Bank reported that the fire was started by an unknown person, and a pre-trial investigation has been started in relation to it under Article 202, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Deliberate destruction or damage to the property of another”. The sanction of this article provides for the imposition of a fine of up to 2000 MCI or imprisonment for up to two years or deprivation of liberty for the same period.

According to local residents, the police found a plastic bottle filled with gasoline and a cane near the car.

Judge Iliyas Irgebayev himself said that he could not answer the question of who might have set his car on fire.
