He refereed a match in A-class on the line, the hosts scored a goal, but he raised the flag because he was offside. And then it started.
A scandal in West Pomeranian A class. “No walkover”
This time, none of the referees was the victim, but the coach of Dąbrovia Stara Dąbrowa. He was beaten up by two home fans, one of whom was a former football player. The situation took place before the match of the West Pomeranian A class with Rolpol Chlebowo. The coach landed in the hospital, and the police were called to the scene.
The whole case was described on Twitter by a journalist dealing with West Pomeranian football, Norbert Skórzewski. “The ZZPN Discipline Department did not contact the victim at all, and today – after more than two weeks – decided that such a situation could have happened anywhere. Unfortunately, it happened just before the match under the fenced locker room and immediately a big scandal. Soon someone will probably write about it on Twitter and you will have to explain yourself,” he wrote on the aforementioned social network.
He added that the president of Dąbrovia wanted to deal with the case, but the whole procedure was kept secret. “Thus, WD decided that there is NO WAY for a brutal beating and in a moment we are playing again. Not on the weekend, but on Corpus Christi” – we read further.
“And the fact that the coach still gets threats to this day and is simply afraid of this match? Anyway, we have to play. Of course, it’s not because the hosts are fighting for promotion, they are heavily funded by the sponsor and need points, it’s just a total coincidence “- added the journalist.
And what was the decision of the Disciplinary Department of the West Pomeranian Football Association? Here is the punishment presented in the official announcement: “Klub Rolpol Chlebowo […] – a ban on playing 2 matches in the town which is the seat of the club and an order to play these matches without audience participation. Is the punishment appropriate to the situation? No one from the ZZPN Discipline Department has published a comment on this matter.
