Iran Announces Sanctions Against US and UK for Helping Israel

On Thursday, the government of Iran imposed sanctions on individuals, institutions and companies from the USA and the United Kingdom for “supporting the terrorist acts of Israel”, informs EFE, according to Agerpres.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced sanctions against the United States for supporting and financing Israel’s terrorist acts, glorifying and supporting terrorism, and violating the human rights of the Palestinian people, especially in ¢ÅŸia Gaza†.

Among those sanctioned are the companies Lockheed Martin, Chevron and General Dynamics, informs a press release from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition, Jason Brodsky, the policy director of United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI, a bipartisan, non-profit advocacy organization in the United States), Michael Rubin, a member of the American Enterprise Institute (think center-right think tank based in Washington, DC, which researches government, politics, economics and social welfare), and Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, head of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet.

At the same time, British public figures, institutions and companies were sanctioned for “supporting acts of the Zionist regime, including acts of terrorism against regional and international peace”, “systematic violation of human rights”. € or “the displacement of the Palestinian people”.

The British Air Force in Cyprus, as well as the British Navy destroyer HMS Diamond deployed in the Red Sea are among those sanctioned, but also British Defense Minister Grant Shapps and the Director of the British Army’s Defense Intelligence Service , Adrian Bird, among others.

The sanctions prohibit the targeted individuals from entering Iran, order the confiscation of their properties and assets on Iranian soil, and the freezing of their bank accounts in that country.

The sanctions announcement comes shortly after the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada imposed new restrictions on Iran’s drone industry, which it accuses of supplying Russia with the weapon for use in the war in Ukraine.
