Medvedev replaced Hitler with Zelensky in a Soviet cartoon

World news

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, congratulated his Telegram channel and VK social media followers on Spring and Labor Day with a slightly modified Soviet poster from the Great Patriotic War.

It was based on the 1941 poster “Every hammer blow is a blow to the enemy” by cartoonists Viktor Deni and Nikolai Dolgorukov. With each blow of the hammer on the anvil, the caricature of the worker on it directs more and more projectiles at Hitler, from whose hand a gallows and a bloody ax fall out. In Medvedev’s version, the role of the German Fuehrer is played by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Medvedev is the deputy head of the Military-Industrial Committee and pays special attention to arms production.
