Meeting foreign religions “at eye level” – these are the social “trends”

In a pluralistic society it is imperative to promote interreligious learning and living together. A religious education conference in Lucerne provided new impetus.

The world of religion(s) has probably never been as colorful in this country as it is today: It brings us a happy Afro Pentecost” in Winterthur, Zen courses for management people in the Lasalle House in Edlibach, inspiring weeks of religions with visits from Mosques and Buddhist temples in the Lucerne agglomeration communities and much more. The coexistence of people of different religions and cultures has long been part of everyday life in Switzerland and thus also poses a variety of challenges for the diverse actors in a multicultural society.
