Moose injures two people near Bobruisk

World news

The animal attacked pensioners right in the yard of their house.

On Wednesday, June 7, at about 8:00 a.m., the district hospital received a message from the district hospital about the hospitalization of two local residents – a man born in 1939 and a woman born in 1948. Pensioners ended up in a hospital bed after meeting with a moose. A wild animal attacked people right on the territory of their household in the village of Stolpishche.

The villagers were diagnosed with bodily injuries of varying severity. In particular, the woman received a head injury. After rescuers arrived at the scene, the animal fled into the forest. There, the moose managed to attack the foresters, after which he was caught. The circumstances of what happened are being investigated.

The village of Stolpische is less than ten kilometers northeast of Bobruisk. In past years, it was from this direction that wild animals wandered into the city, having crossed the Berezina. When meeting with them, experts advise not to try to catch the beast on your own, not to turn your back on it and not to make sudden movements. If possible, it is better to move to a safe distance, ideally to hide in a closed room.
