After they are Having worked as a Knowledge Center for 14 years, working on the training of high school graduates and students, last year EdukOS became a private high school, the second of its kind in eastern Croatia. More than 16 thousand young people passed through their premises in the city center, and this school year they enrolled 38 full-time students. Scholarships for excellent students
– We invested 700.00 euros of our own money in the purchase and furnishing of two office buildings on four floors in the city center. There is the headquarters of our school on more than 1000 square meters. We want students who will be leaders of society, so we are the only school in the wider area that has a score threshold and entrance tests and high criteria for employed teachers. We emphasize to parents that we are not a private school that you pay for, so you are sure that your child will get good grades without studying. Our students are exceptional and come from all over the county, and since it is the Z generation, we are improving ourselves and creating a modern dimension of the school suitable for the generations to come – said Šimićić.

The school provided more than 90,000 euros for scholarships and tuition fees for the funniest, most distinguished and excellent students from poorer families. It is interesting that entrepreneurs are also actively involved in the education of the most talented students in this school because they have the opportunity to finance the education of exceptional students. During the school year, they monitor their results, behavior, effort and commitment and accordingly extend their tuition payment.
How to organize an event, cook lunch
Each classroom in the school is named after a Croatian scientist, and it is also specific in that it also has housekeeping as an extracurricular activity.
– As part of the household, students do concrete life tasks. In advance, we have elaborated topics for housekeeping during the school year. They have them once or twice a month. Ironing, washing clothes, sewing, cooking various things, preparing sweets, workshops on working with dogs, training on etiquette, dancing, how to organize a big event, all of this is led by well-known people from the sector. Students like challenges of this kind – says director Boris Hartman, who came to EdukOS from the public system.
This is also the first school which has its own procedure book so that everything is transparent regarding the teacher’s behavior, so as not to create favorite students. They have their own development team and brand manager.
– Also, we record lessons in mathematics, physics and elective mathematics because we have estimated that it would be useful for students to be able to play a video of the lesson at home at any time. I can watch the recording countless times, which is also available as preparation for the exam. They work with talented students
– I look forward to every one to the new household workshop, because there we really learn a lot and develop motor skills for daily coping in life. Personally, my best subject is biology. I see myself in some scientific direction. So far, I am very satisfied with this school because I wanted to enroll in a school that will open the doors of all faculties and that will develop new ways of thinking for me.
