World news

New satellite photos from the Wagner Group field camp in the Belarusian village of Cel in the Mogilev region have been published. The tenth convoy of mercenaries has also arrived in the country. The American Institute for the Study of War assessed the probability of an attack by the Wagnerians on Poland. Calming down – it’s very low.

Some of the mercenaries of the Wagner Group are in Belarus. The latest information provided on Sunday by the Belarusian Hajun, a group that monitors the movements of Belarusian and Russian troops, indicates that Belarus has already reached the tenth convoy with Yevgeny Prigozhin’s mercenaries, which consisted of at least ten vehicles. “Most of the vehicles have license plates or Russian plates and so-called LNR/DNR [tzw. Doniecka i Ługańska Republika Ludowa, które Rosja nielegalnie utworzyła na terenie wschodniej Ukrainy – red.]. The convoy is being escorted by the Belarusian traffic police. This convoy changed its route and, unlike the previous ones, went along the highway towards Bobrujsk in the Mogilev region.

George Barros, an analyst at the US Institute for the Study of War, shared latest satellite photos from the field camp of the Wagner Group, which is located in the village of Cel near Osipovich, Mogilev region. The photos were taken on Sunday, July 23. They are visible in the photos hundreds of carssmall trucks and about 35 semi-trailers.

Will the Wagnerians attack Poland? ISW calms down

As we reported on Sunday, Alyaksandr Lukashenka reportedly told Vladimir Putin during the meeting that the Wagnerians they harass him with requests to go to the West. – Maybe I shouldn’t say this, but I will say: the Wagnerians started harassing us, saying: “We want to go to the West. Let us.” I asked, “Why do you want to go West?” They replied, “Well, to go to trip to Warsaw and Rzeszów– said the Belarusian leader.

In its report, the ISW (Institute for the Study of War) reported that Vladimir Putin and Alyaksandr Lukashenko during this meeting “strengthened information operations aimed at the West.” “There is no indication that the Wagner fighters in Belarus have the heavy weapons necessary to carry out major offensive against Ukraine or Poland without significant armament, because the condition of the Putin-Lukashenka-Prigozhyn agreement ending the armed rebellion was that Wagner would hand over such weapons to the Russian Ministry of Defence. An American think tank estimated that Wagner’s forces in Belarus pose no military threat to Poland or Ukraine, “until they are re-equipped with mechanized equipment.” As added:Even then, they pose no significant threat to NATO.”.

Who are the Wagnerians?

The Wagner Group is a Russian private military company that was founded in 2014. Its members have been repeatedly accused of having neo-Nazi views. Prigozhin’s mercenaries took part in, among other things, the annexation of Crimea, the fighting in the Ukrainian Donbas and the Luhansk region. The Wagnerians also fought in Syria, Sudan, Libya and Mozambique. Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, they played a major role in the Battle of Soledar and Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian Ministry of Defense: Ukrainian soldiers are moving forward every day

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry said on Monday that Ukrainian soldiers stopped the attack of Russian troops, who are intensively advancing on the eastern front, and dealt with minefields in the south. The Ukrainian army also managed to slightly move its positions deeper into the areas occupied by the Russians. As Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malar assured, Ukrainian soldiers are slowly moving forward every day. Over the past week, they have liberated 4 square kilometers of territory, and 35 square kilometers in total. Hanna Malar also reported that the Ukrainians are also attacking the enemy in the south towards Berdyansk and Melitopol. Over the past week, they have liberated over 12 square kilometers there, and over 192 square kilometers since the beginning of the offensive. As she pointed out, the armed forces are moving despite intense enemy artillery fire, and mines are also present on the southern front.
