The participants in the staff talks held in Brest on the preparation and conduct of the exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) agreed on their plans and conducted a reconnaissance of the area. This was announced by the head of the department of international military cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus Valery Revenko, TASS writes.
“In the city of Brest, the second staff talks were held on the preparation and conduct of joint and special exercises of the CSTO. The fundamentals of the plans were agreed upon, reconnaissance of the areas was carried out and a protocol was signed, reflecting the common view of all parties on the upcoming events,” Revenko wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich said that five exercises within the framework of the CSTO will be held on the territory of the republic from September 1 to 6.
