World news

As a result of a drone attack, a short-lived fire broke out in the Kaluga Oblast southwest of Moscow, said Governor Władisław Szapsza, quoted by Reuters. According to the media, an oil processing plant was hit.

Authorities said a fire broke out but was extinguished a short time later and no one was hurt.

Earlier, the media and Telegram channels reported that an oil processing plant near Kaluga was hit. According to residents, explosions were heard near the plant, preceded by the characteristic sound of flying drones. According to this information, the fire that broke out was large and had not yet been extinguished on Friday morning.

When reporting on drone attacks in Russia, the Russian Ministry of Defense did not mention the Kaluga Oblast, writes the BBC. The ministry claims that five drones were shot down during the night.
