A spokesman for the Alliance of Film and Television Producers (AMPTP), which represents Walt Disney Co, Netflix Inc and other major studios, declined to comment, according to Reuters.
Studios are already struggling with downtime in the work of screenwriters. A month-long strike by more than 11,500 members of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) disrupted the production of nightly shows and torpedoed high-profile projects. These include Netflix’s Stranger Things and HBO’s Game of Thrones.
