The Belarusian commander accuses Poland. “Plans to extend its tentacles with territorial claims”

World news

Colonel Andrei Bogodel said that Poland “has not given up on its ambitions” regarding territorial claims against Minsk. The Belarusian military man referred to the statement of General Waldemar Skrzypczak, who predicted that there might be an uprising against Alyaksandr Lukashenko. Bogodel’s theses fit in with the narrative of Belarusians, who have already made similar accusations against Poland in the past.

The head of the didactic and methodological department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, Colonel Andrei Bogodel, appeared in the program “The country speaks”, organized by the Belarusian press agency BelTA. There, he spoke about the threats to the independence and sovereignty of Belarus, which, in his opinion, emanate from Poland. Bogodel upheld the theses formulated in the past by Belarusians who accused Warsaw of taking hostile actions against Minsk.

Belarusian military commander accuses Poland of “projecting tentacles with territorial claims”

Andrei Bogodel suggested that Poland wanted to take away its lands from Belarus, reacting to the geopolitical situation in which our country found itself. – On the one hand, Poland is afraid of Germany, on the other hand, it has been forced to confront Russia, which in the current situation is an adversary for Poland. In addition, we have Belarus, against which Poland plans to extend its tentacles, primarily with territorial claims, said the Belarusian commander.

In the past, the Belarusian side has already expressed similar opinions. In February, we wrote, for example, that Stanisław Żaryn, Deputy Minister of Secret Service Coordinator, informed about propaganda activities that Belarus was supposed to conduct together with Russia. They were a reaction to the closure of the border crossing in Bobrowniki by Poland.

“Kremlin and Minsk propagandists are trying to ‘credibly’ absurd accusations with information about the closure of the border crossing through Poland. According to the lies of Russia and Belarus, the closure of the border crossing is supposed to be ‘evidence’ of military action being planned,” Żaryn commented.

Belarus. Andrei Bogodel referred to the protests against Lukashenko and the words of General Skrzypczak

The Belarusian colonel referred to the words of General Waldemar Skrzypczak in his statement. The former deputy defense minister and commander of the Polish land forces said that an uprising could take place in Belarus, and Poland should do everything to “not sleep through this moment”. Skrzypczak added that “one must be ready to support the troops that will carry out the operation against Lukashenko.”

Andriej Bogodel put these words in the context of actions that “Poland has been undertaking since 2020”. At that time, presidential elections were held, which were allegedly won by Alyaksandr Lukashenko. As a result, there were mass protests by Lukashenko’s opponents, who accused the government of electoral fraud. The Polish authorities expressed support for Belarusian oppositionists, which was described in its analysis by the Institute of Central Europe.

– Here, we should remember about 2020. Poland has not given up on its ambitions, which was also stated by the former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Poland, Waldemar Skrzypczak. He said that Poland should be ready to support some uprising that is being prepared in Belarus. This is how Poland treats us today – summed up Bogodel.
