AMAZON released the trailer for the fourth season of the series The Boys, which has eight nominations for the prestigious Emmy Award. The trailer gathered over 800,000 views in just three hours.
The official synopsis for the upcoming season reads: “The world is on edge. Victoria Newman is getting closer to the Oval Office and finds herself under the control of the Homelanders, who are consolidating their power. Butcher, with only a few months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as leader of The Boys. The rest of the team has had enough of his lies. The stakes are higher than ever, and they must find a way to work together to save the world before it’s too late.”
In the trailer, we learn that Butcher (Karl Urban) has discovered a virus that kills superheroes and wants to use it in his fight with Homelander (Anthony Starr) and his followers. A new character, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, joins him in the fight.
The cast of the new season also includes Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and Cameron Crovetti.
