Oh, well, this is certainly a matter of taste, but there are a lot of comments on the Web right now that The Weeknd should have continued to sing and maybe try to go into film production, but not rush to play a leading role without proper preparation. His character in itself, though manic, but so far the audience only notes the cringe of what is happening.
