The property where Promuca operated in SPS is still invaded World news

San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

The 11.5 blocks where the Municipal Meat Processor (Promuca) operated for years continue to be invaded by residents who claim they do not have a place to live.

For three months, municipal property has been occupied by people and some claim they lost their homes in storms Eta and Iota.

The Municipal Police together with Municipal Justice carried out an inspection at the site, where they confirmed the situation of the property, registered in the Cadastre in the name of the Sampedrana municipality.

Data

People are those who are on the property where the Municipal Meat Processor (Promuca) operated, according to the census of the municipal authorities.

Promuca was closed due to unsanitary conditions and later the Municipal Corporation of Armando Calidonio approved the closure of the place, and from that moment on it was practically abandoned.

The site is completely destroyed, nothing remains of the infrastructure, and the land was damaged by the storms.

A meeting was held with the residents at the Municipal Police headquarters in order to explain the situation of the property and why they should avoid erecting concrete buildings.

But, despite the approaches, the municipality has not proceeded to recover the land where it is initially planned to build a municipal health macro-district.

The director of the Municipal Police, Pedro Martínez, explained that the case continues to be followed up and will proceed according to the law.

The legal representatives of the municipality proceeded to file a complaint about the reality and illegal occupation of the property with the Public Ministry, so all avenues will be exhausted.
