The Russian Ministry of Defense reported advances on four front lines

The Russian army occupied more favorable positions on four front lines during the past day, while 16 Ukrainian attacks and counterattacks were repelled, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Friday.

According to the Russian military report, more than 1,200 soldiers of the Ukrainian army were killed or seriously wounded. Among the destroyed Ukrainian military targets and military equipment, the ministry mentioned a military oil storage facility called Blanovne, a radar of an SZ-300PT air defense missile system, two launch sites, a launch site of a German IRIS-T air defense missile system, two tanks – one of them was an Abrams – , two infantry fighting vehicles, two armored fighting vehicles, one American M113 armored personnel carrier, one American M109 Paladin, one Czech DANA M2 and one Polish Krab self-propelled gun, as well as three American M777 and one M198 towed howitzer, three French-made HAMMER air bombs and 40 drones.

On Friday, the local authorities reported Ukrainian artillery and drone attacks from several settlements in the territories of Ukraine that came under Russian control and in the Russian regions bordering Ukraine. In Tokmak, Zaporozhye county, an American GPS-guided M982 Excalibur artillery projectile hit a four-story residential building, and six people were rescued from the ruins.

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said it had destroyed a saboteur who came to Russia from Lithuania to carry out acts of terror against military installations on behalf of the Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR). According to the information, the man of Russian citizenship, trained in Lithuania, who was a member of a Ukrainian terrorist organization, was preparing to blow up a fuel terminal in the Leningrad region. He resisted the attempt to detain him armed. At the scene, the authorities seized a weapon, an explosive device and communication devices. According to the FSB, he corresponded with his contact about, among other things, the destruction of everything Russian in the Baltics.

On Friday, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a warrant against Oleksandr Litvinenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksandr Slapak, former Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Stepan Kubiv, former President of the Central Bank of Ukraine, and Valentin Nalivachenko, former head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
