The “Serbia against violence” protest in front of the Presidency has ended

BELGRADE – The fifth opposition protest “Serbia against violence” ended this evening at around 9 pm near the Presidency building on Andrićevo venec.

Emilija Milenković, a representative of Belgrade students, spoke in front of the Presidency, who called on the gathered to disperse peacefully, but to continue to gather until the demands are met. Participants of the protest previously left messages in impression books for President Aleksandar Vučić, which were placed at five points, and some of them also pasted the messages on the building itself.

At the “Serbia against violence” protest, opposition members called for the hanging of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

The presence of former MP Srđan Nog, who carried an improvised gallows during the 2019 protest, was also noticed. P

the rotest started around 6:00 p.m. at the National Assembly, where public figures addressed the crowd on stage.

After the speech, the citizens went for a walk along Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard, Beogradska Street to Slavija Square, and then along Kralja Milana Street to the Presidency building.

The signatories of the request for protest are opposition politicians, Miroslav Aleksić, Srđan Milivojević, Marinika Tepić, Nebojša Zelenović and Biljana Đorđević.

In addition to them, the president of the DS Zoran Lutovac, deputy of the Green-Left Club Radomir Lazović, leader of the Ecological Uprising Aleksandar Jovanović Ćuta, president of the Party of Freedom and Justice Dragan Đilas and official of that party Borko Stefanović, president of the Social Democratic Party Boris Tadić came to the meeting.
