Three low-magnitude surface earthquakes occurred in Maramure, in less than 24 hours.
On Tuesday morning, in the Maramure area, at 8:31, an earthquake of magnitude 2.4 occurred, at a depth of 3.4 km.
The earthquake occurred near the following cities: 54km N of Bistrita, 55km E of Baia Mare.
On the same day, at 23:27, another earthquake occurred in the region, at a depth of 2.3 km. The second earthquake had a magnitude of 2.6, being near the following cities: 54km N of Bistrita, 54km E of Baia Mare.
A third earthquake occurred on Wednesday, at 6:02 a.m., in Maramure, at a depth of 6.8 km. And this had a magnitude of 2.6, occurring near the following cities: 54km E of Baia Mare, 55km N of Bistrita
