The former president of the United States attacked migrants again by saying that he would use the National Guard as part of a deportation plan if he wins the electoral elections in November.

This warning from the tycoon could mean an intensification against irregular migration, an issue that fueled his preference among voters in his previous rise to power.

LAUNCH WARNING

Trump’s remarks came during a lengthy in-person and telephone interview with Time magazine a few days ago, which was published Tuesday.

Despite the warning, Trump did not reveal details of how he would carry out the operations, or what role the National Guard would play.

During that interview, Trump noted that he was not opposed to using active-duty military if necessary, but that he thought the National Guard would do the job.

“If I think things are getting out of control, I would have no problem using the army,” he said.

“We have to have security in our country. We have to have law and order in our country. And whatever gets us there, but I think the National Guard will do the job,” the magnate added.

As detailed by the AP news agency, US military forces have historically been used on the border to support immigration personnel, but making use of National Guard elements directly in the deportation of migrants, especially in the interior of the country, It would be a drastic escalation and would likely be the subject of legal challenges.
