Prague – Former rector of the University of Silesia, Pavel Tuleja, received the support of the TOP 09 presidency for his candidacy for minister of science and research, according to ČTK information. Leaders of the ruling party have been discussing Helena Langšádlová’s successor since the morning in the House of Representatives, where Tuleja, who is a member of TOP 09, arrived. The meeting of the executive committee of TOP 09 will follow the meeting of the presidency, the party wants to present the candidate at a press conference in the afternoon.
The announced departure of Langšádlová is the eighth change in the cabinet of the coalition of five since its formation at the end of 2021. TOP 09 wants to introduce the new candidate to President Petr Pavlov and Prime Minister Petr Fial (ODS) so that he can be appointed this week.
