Two planes collide at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport

Tokyo’s Haneda Airport reopened its runway on Saturday after a temporary closure due to a collision between two aircraft while maneuvering on the taxiway. This is reported by the NHK TV channel.

The incident occurred between Thai Airways and Taiwanese Eva Airways, which were scheduled to fly to Bangkok and Taipei, respectively. There were 460 passengers inside them, no one was hurt.

The footage filmed by the channel shows damage to the wings of the airliners. According to preliminary data, the Thai Airways plane hit another airliner standing still with its wing while driving along the taxiway.

As a result of the incident, flights from Haneda were delayed by about an hour.
