The Ukrainian army’s response came from a spokesman for the Ukrainian Army’s General Staff, who said in remarks: “We have no such information.”

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, denied statements by Russian officials in which they said that the (Ukrainian) counterattack had already begun.

He stressed that Ukraine has not yet launched a planned counter-attack to recover the territories occupied by Russia, pointing out that the beginning of the attack will be clear to everyone when it happens.

And the senior security official went on to say: “All of this is not true. When this matter begins, it is our army that will decide it, and when we start the counterattack, everyone will know that and they will see it.”

He pointed out that the Russian forces were right when they believed that the Ukrainian advance in some areas of the front lines was the beginning of the larger operation.
