The explosion on the Crimean bridge took place on Monday morning (July 17). The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation reported that only the surface was damaged. Two people died as a result of the explosion. The occupation authorities launched an investigation.

“Earlier, the head of the SBU Vasyl Maluk stated that the Crimean bridge is a completely legitimate target for Ukraine and promised to reveal the details of unique special operations after the victory,” writes “Ukrainian Pravda”.
The Crimean Bridge was built in 2018 over the waters of the Kerch Strait. It connects Crimea illegally annexed by Russia and Krasnodar Krai. For the Kremlin, it has not only symbolic, but above all strategic significance. It allows for the efficient transport of soldiers and military equipment to the Crimea, and from there further to Ukraine.
Traffic on the bridge has been stopped. Reason? “Emergency”
The head of the occupation authorities of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that traffic on the bridge was suspended due to the “emergency situation”. “Due to the current situation, I am asking the inhabitants and visitors of the peninsula to refrain from crossing the Crimean bridge and, for safety reasons, choose another land route through the new regions,” he appealed on social media.
