The rector of the National Autonomous University of Honduras, Odir Fernández, announced this Wednesday that he will withdraw all medical students from the Teaching Hospital.

“The An H announces that as of Monday, May 6, it will withdraw from the Teaching Hospital all medical students, residents at all levels, dentistry, microbiology, nutrition, functional therapy and all other areas of knowledge.”

Odir Fernández explains in the post on the X account of the An H that “the above is due to the fact that every day the physical spaces that have historically belonged to us are being taken away from us, added to the above, the fact arises that our students are being treated in an undignified and inhuman manner.”

According to the rector of the An Hare the medical students who maintain the national health system, “but they have not appreciated how much the highest house of studies does with its students.”

The An H It has a Hospital School for medical students doing their rotating internship.

The rotating internship is a program that allows graduates to go through all major specialties, including internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, emergency medicine, anesthesiology and intensive care, and an elective area.
