A new video has emerged showing the details of the moment the 18-year-old high school senior Cameron Robbins from Louisiana, USA, jumped off a cruise ship late at night because of a challenge, he writes Daily News.

He jumped into the sea dressed only in swimming trunks and without a life jacket. He celebrated high school graduation with his friends.

In the footage that has surfaced, friends can be heard shouting at the young athlete and trying to help him, before he disappeared into the darkness.

“Grab the buoy, grab the buoy,” is heard on the video, but the 18-year-old drifted away and disappeared into the sea.

The American Coast Guard searched the Bahamian waters for days, but unfortunately they did not find him and they officially suspended the search for him. More than 325 square kilometers were searched. At the moment when the 18-year-old jumped into the sea, the ship was close to Athol, an uninhabited island.

Witnesses said Robbins jumped into the sea from the Blackbeard’s Revenge cruise ship around midnight for a challenge.
