One person was killed and four others were seriously injured Thursday in an armed attack in a residential neighborhood in San Antonio, Texas, reports the local publication Ksat and ABC News.
Two unidentified suspects fired 20-25 shots with semi-automatic rifles at a house, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar announced in a press conference.
“It’s a miracle that we don’t have five bodies at this moment,” he said, according to sources cited by News.ro.
The sheriff’s office announced an initial toll of five victims – two adults and three children aged up to ten years, in serious condition, following the shootings.
A medical examiner later announced that one person had died from their injuries, without specifying whether it was an adult or a child.
According to the sheriff, it is a vicious attack, and the perpetrators also knew their victim, due to the way they operated.
An investigation is underway.
