War in Ukraine: “99 percent” of Wagner Group units left Bakhmout

World news

According to previous claims, only two units of Wagner continue to support the Russian regular army which seeks to maintain control of the city, in the Donetsk region.

There were no more “provocations” from the Ukrainian military, says Evguéni Prigojine.

A day earlier, the boss of the Russian militia had announced that his troops would leave the front line, but would remain stationed in the Donetsk region.

The Ukrainian army had then confided that it was stopping the fighting on the flanks of Bakhmout in order to devote itself to other tasks. Officially, however, Ukraine has not given up on this city. The country wants to liberate its territories from Russian occupation during a major counter-offensive.
