Reuters reports that the USA and most European Union countries will boycott the ceremony in the Kremlin. However, France and some other EU countries will send an envoy, despite Ukraine’s plea not to. In addition to France, Slovakia and Hungary should send their envoys.

11.17 – The newly inaugurated president said that he will do everything in his power to justify Russia’s trust.
“We are a unique and great nation. Together we will overcome all obstacles and achieve what we dream of. I see a deep understanding of our historical role in defending our choice, our freedom and the national interests of Russia. Together we will win,” Putin concluded amid applause, music and burst fire.
Officially sworn
11.08 – Putin was officially sworn in as the President of Russia, which began his fifth term in office. He put his hand on the Russian constitution and promised to defend it. “I would like to thank the participants of the special military operation, I would like to thank everyone who fights for our homeland,” Putin said. “The fate of Russia will be determined only by us. We will go through this difficult time and we will be successful,” the Russian president added.
In his speech, Putin said that Russia does not reject dialogue on cooperation with Western countries. “We will see if they will continue to hinder the development of our country and continue to put pressure on our country or if they will look for ways to cooperate with us,” Putin said.

10.49 – Putin’s inauguration has officially started in Moscow. The ceremony will include an artillery salute and a parade of the presidential regiment in the capital’s Cathedral Square. Putin left his office and headed towards the Grand Palace accompanied by a car. Before the ceremony, a special copy of the Russian constitution was brought to the palace, above which Putin will take the oath. A special red version of the constitution is used only for inaugurations.
