Why should you watch The Marvelous Mrs Maisel?

World news

It’s not rains that will flood the country over the weekend, these are our tears due to the fact that we have to say goodbye to another favorite series. The final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, a scintillating tragicomedy about a housewife who decides to become a stand-up comedian in the conservative American 1950s, has been released. In six years, the Amy Sherman-Palladino show has become a comfortable space for escapism sessions: there is an enveloping retro atmosphere, hilarious bickering of Jewish relatives, beautiful dresses and the contagious immediacy of the main character. By the last season, Mrs. Maisel’s fairy tale began to merge more and more with a not-so-comfortable reality – where did it all end up? At what point did the story about being yourself and choosing yourself turn into a story about accepting the consequences of that choice? And how did The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel manage in five seasons to never lose the enthusiasm and charm of the very first episodes?
