Mountain View Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire in Erie Monday afternoon which left the car completely destroyed.
All of the passengers were able to safely get out of the car, which stopped in the southbound lanes of I-25 between Erie Parkway and Colo. 52.
In a tweet, the fire department said traffic may be backed up on I-25 and asked for commuters to use caution.
Crews just responded to a vehicle fire in the southbound lanes of I-25, between Erie Pkwy & CO Hwy 52. All of the people in the car got out safely, but as you can see from the photos the vehicle is a complete loss. Traffic may be backed upon I-25, please use caution. pic.twitter.com/MMIRnaTWgY
