Do you often struggle with the question of what to cook at home? If you want to diversify your existing menu and at the same time not spend a long time preparing, spaghetti is the ideal solution. And both children and adults love them. One of the simplest and most popular recipes is spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino, or so-called naked spaghetti. You only need a few essential ingredients for this classic Italian specialty.

Naked spaghetti

Spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino is still one of the most famous Italian dishes, originally from Naples. Originally it was just boiled pasta with garlic, parsley and oil. Richer classes could also afford a variant with seashells.

Later, chili peppers began to be added to this dish. The genius of this recipe lies above all in its simplicity, quality ingredients and their correct ratio. Thanks to this, you will achieve a perfect and balanced taste.

Preparation process

First, boil a large pot of heavily salted water and then add 1 package of spaghetti. Cook them according to the instructions on the package, as a result they should be al dente. Finally, drain but keep the spaghetti water.

Preparing the sauce

Peel 4 cloves of garlic and cut them into thin slices. If you use dried chili peppers, just crush them, in the case of fresh ones, first remove the seeds and cut them into slices.

Pour some olive oil into the pan, preferably extra virgin, and add chopped garlic and chili peppers. Stirring constantly, let all the ingredients just lightly fry. The garlic should never turn brown, it would be bitter. Finally, throw in chopped fresh parsley.

Mix the sauce with the pasta

After a few minutes, add 1 to 2 ladles of pasta broth and gradually stir in the drained spaghetti. Spaghetti should never be dry, so either use more oil or water. Finally, mix all the ingredients together in a pan.

Serve on the table

At this moment, you can start serving the spaghetti on a plate. Garnish each portion with a handful of chopped parsley.
