Gold or aurum
Gold is a chemically very resistant metal of yellow color, which is also a good thermal and electrical conductor. However, it is also a relatively expensive soft metal. Since ancient times, it has been used for the production of decorative objects and jewelry and as a valuable currency. How can you have gold jewelry full of shine again?
Table salt
A common kitchen ingredient does not have to be used only for seasoning dishes. It is also a perfect jewelry cleaner. Dissolve 5 spoons of salt in one glass and place worn jewelry in the solution for at least 3 hours. When you remove them, rinse them thoroughly under clean water and dry and polish with a dry, soft cloth.
Sugar
Sugar works in a similar way. Take a glass of hot water and stir 3 teaspoons of sugar in it. As in the previous case, put the jewelry that needs to be cleaned into the mixture. In both cases, the longer the metal is in the solution, the better it is cleaned. Feel free to leave it submerged overnight.
Vinegar
Vinegar can also be used to clean tarnished gold. In this case, it is a more aggressive agent, so work with it carefully. Soak a piece of soft cloth in it and clean the jewelry piece by piece. Finally, rinse, dry and polish the gold.

You can easily replace the vinegar with an equally effective lemon. Use its juice, the procedure is exactly the same.
Other types of metal
If you want to put silver or white gold jewelry in order, use two guaranteed combinations. Mix lemon juice with a little ammonia to make a fairly strong and effective cleaning solution.
Using raw potatoes is also a perfect choice. Grate them on a fine grater, put jewelry in them and let them “rest” for several hours. The result will be absolutely perfect. If you want to clean tarnished jewelry with gems, use pure alcohol with water or vodka. Harder stones can also be polished with ammonia alone.
