Since 2012, around 150 Italian children have been taken into care to prevent them from following in the footsteps of their relatives and being drawn into the Calabrian ‘ndrangheta mafia.
Now the project is being expanded to new regions to stop recruitment to the country’s other violent mafia organizations such as Cosa Nostra and the Camorran.
