Hamas leader Sami Abu Zuhri said this evening, Sunday, April 28, 2024, that the occupation’s response that we received through mediators is under study and it is too early to reach a decision regarding it.
Abu Zuhri added that the movement will not accept any agreement that does not include stopping the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
He stressed that the movement assured the brothers in Egypt and Qatar that it was serious about reaching an agreement, but that it would not yield to any American pressure.
On Sunday, Cairo News Channel said that a Hamas delegation, headed by Khalil Al-Hayya, will arrive in Egypt on Monday to deliver the movement’s response to the truce proposal in Gaza.
For months, Egypt, Qatar, and the United States have been leading indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas, amid mutual accusations between the movement and Tel Aviv of responsibility for their faltering.
