The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said today, Sunday, March 3, 2024, that Israel is gradually expanding the war of extermination to include Rafah and its region, and that famine has already begun to claim the lives of Gazans in the northern Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued today, Sunday, the Ministry warned of the risks resulting from the spread of famine and malnutrition, as a result of preventing the arrival and entry of aid into the Gaza Strip in general and to its north in particular.

She said that what she warned about earlier had become a reality, as it was announced that at least 15 children had died due to malnutrition and hunger, which still threatens more children, in addition to the occupation forces deliberately bombing aid trucks and citizens who were gathering for them, as happened. At the Nablus and Kuwaiti roundabouts.

She added that despite widespread international and American warnings about the repercussions of the Israeli ground invasion of Rafah and its area, especially on the lives of more than 1.4 million Palestinian civilians present in Rafah, the number of martyrs in Rafah during the last 24 hours reached 26 martyrs as a result of the escalation in the bombing of the city by the occupation army. This means that Israel has gradually begun to focus its bombing and military operations on Rafah, noting that the bombing and destruction are escalating hour after hour in Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah, which are crowded with displaced people. The most recent of which was the Israeli targeting of an aid truck in Deir al-Balah, in proof that the pillars of war are in a state. The occupation is continuing to occupy the entire Gaza Strip, completely destroying it and turning it into a barren, uninhabitable land. It is continuing to annihilate our people, whether by killing, starvation, thirst, deprivation of medicines or treatments, or by bombing and destroying homes over the heads of their residents, as conclusive evidence of the occupation’s intentions and policy aimed at displacing the population of the Strip.
